BEDFORD聽鈥 外网天堂 will host a community open house at the new StoneGate Arts & Education Center in downtown Bedford on Thursday, Jan. 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. Ivy Tech representatives will be available to provide information about class offerings, upcoming events, and to answer questions. Refreshments will be served. There is still time to enroll in spring classes that begin Jan. 14.
The new StoneGate facility allows Ivy Tech to offer more courses and certifications than before.
鈥淔or Spring Semester 2019, students can earn a certificate in bookkeeping entirely in Bedford,鈥 said Jessica Strunk, vice chancellor of enrollment services. 鈥淪toneGate also has advanced technology, which allows Ivy Tech to offer live online classes. This gives students more class options in Bedford and allows them to virtually attend classes offered in Bloomington through synchronous video technology.鈥
Ivy Tech offers classes in Bedford that prepare students for jobs and that lead to associate degrees and certificates in business, healthcare, industrial technology, and HVAC. Ivy Tech also offers general education classes in Bedford that transfer to public colleges and universities in Indiana.
