Ivy Tech鈥檚 Bloomington campus was ranked third on the list of 20 best Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) programs and eight on the list of 20 best practical nursing (LPN) programs.
鈥淭hat Ivy Tech Bloomington鈥檚 ASN program was ranked third in the state can be attributed to excellence in instruction among nursing faculty and the support of nursing leadership,鈥 said Chancellor Jennie Vaughan. 鈥淭hanks to the high-standard of excellence in instruction and dedication to student success at Ivy Tech Bloomington, our nurses are well-prepared to serve. We know that Ivy Tech nurses and other healthcare alumni are among those working on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic, and we want to thank them for their essential service to our communities.鈥
Ivy Tech Bloomington nursing student average pass rates on the NCLEX-RN licensure exam among first-time test-takers for 2011-2018 is 92%, which is above the national average for two-year colleges (85%) and four-year colleges and universities (91%). During the same timeframe, Ivy Tech Bloomington graduated an average of 71 ASN students annually. Ivy Tech Bloomington practical nursing average pass rates on the NCLEX-PN exam among first-time test-takers for 2011-2018 is 99%, and the campus graduates an average of 25 LPNs annually.
On Friday, Ivy Tech Bloomington is set to graduate 80 ASN and 44 LPN students who will enter the workforce.
