About the Role:
The Project Manager for EMI supports the successful development, coordination, and execution of workforce skills training programs for a wide range of public health and safety trainings crucial for Indiana. Role ensures that all programmatic and operational elements are implemented effectively, on time and within budget. The ideal candidate excels in organization, communication, and customer service, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Required Skills & Competencies:
鈥 Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
鈥 Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
鈥 High level of attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping.
鈥 Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Proficiency in Workday a plus.
鈥 Experience with Salesforce or a PMP a plus. Experience coordinating logistics and events.
鈥 Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
鈥 Professional demeanor and commitment to customer service.
Key Responsibilities:

Program & Training Support
鈥 Assist in the design, development, and delivery of skills training programs in collaboration with subject matter experts.
鈥 Identify, recruit, and help manage qualified faculty and trainers.
鈥 Coordinate class schedules, training logistics, and classroom assignments.
鈥 Build and maintain classes in the learning management system.
Project Management
鈥 Set up and track project timelines, milestones, deliverables, and tasks.
鈥 Maintain detailed project documentation and ensure timely updates and reporting.
鈥 Track and report performance metrics and outcomes related to assigned training program to Executive Director, Workforce Training and Employer Engagement.
Operations & Procurement
鈥 Procure materials and supplies needed for training programs and special events.
鈥 Prepare class materials including handouts, presentations, and supplies in advance.
鈥 Monitor inventory and maintain organized records or purchases.
鈥 Coordinate venue, catering, materials, signage, and student or instructor communication as needed.
Financial & Administrative Support
鈥 Prepare and submit billing information for contracts, grant reports and vendors.
鈥 Track and reconcile budgets for individual projects and contracts.
鈥 Report to different state agencies necessary compliance data including when training is scheduled to run.
鈥 Manage grants and meeting reporting deadlines for timely performance data.
鈥 Maintain accurate and timely records of expenditures, contracts and agreements.
Customer Service & Communication
鈥 Respond to inquiries from students, faculty, and stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
鈥 Provide consistent and exceptional customer service throughout all stages of program delivery.
鈥 Ensure a welcoming and supportive environment for participants and partners.
Education & Experience:
鈥 Associates degree required. Bachelor鈥檚 degree preferred. (Candidates with significant experience and pursuing an Associates degree can be considered)
鈥 A minimum of three (3) years related experience in business, industry, training, or a related activity with financial acumen.
鈥 Familiarity with procurement and contracting procedures.
鈥 Knowledge of training design and implementation.
鈥 Knowledge of Environmental Protection Agency, Indiana Department of Environmental Management, and Indiana Department of Health a plus.
鈥 Must have two (2) years of supervisory experience or project management experience.
鈥 Must possess the ability and a willingness to travel in the performance of assigned duties.
